Photosynth- Create 3D environment with Photos

August 21, 2008

Last night Microsoft launched Photosynth, a new imaging tool that allows the home user to create 3D images by mashing together multiple images of the same thing from different angles and perspectives. You can then zoom in, zoom out, spin stuff around, and check it out at all different angles. It could be a pretty cool thing as long as Microsoft doesn’t ruin it by keeping it too “Microsoft”.

From the Website:

Unfortunately, we’re not cool enough to run on your OS yet. We really wish we had a version of Photosynth that worked cross platform, but for now it only runs on Windows.

Trust us, as soon as we have a Mac version ready, it will be up and available on our site.

I mean, i knew that its a MS Product and they dont support other systems, but at least the could mention Linux also.
